About me

I’m a fundraising and a community organiser, with a range of passions (obsessions?) and life long commitments. I spend lots of time dedicated to getting funding to where it should be, redistributing power and resources. I’m also a trained urban gardener, and care deeply about the benefits of public green spaces and improving people’s access to nature. Take a look at WILD QUEERS - sessions where I share what we can learn from nature to fuel our fight for collective liberation.

Fundraising can be draining, and let’s be real, we are working within a broken system. Funds are not distributed equally, reparations are not paid, and philanthropy is paternalistic. But i’m determined to get as much income to social justice causes as possible! With twelve years experience in the charity sector, I have fundraised for a range of organisations, charities and community groups with a particular focus on systemic inequality, health and wellbeing, and arts and youth projects. I’m good at supporting clients through transitional periods, or when funding deadlines are tight, sustaining vital services. Take a look at my client list to see the kinds of people and organisations i’ve worked with.

As an essential companion for my disabled partner, I am also a lived experience advocate, working to improve health and care systems for people with disabilities and chronic illness. I learn so much from disability justice principles, weaving care into all the organising that I do and I’m ever thankful to my partner, and the disabled, trans, queer, black and brown organisers who lead the way and have come before us.
